Mission Ready Container Hoist

C-Lift Mantis

When self-sufficiency and operational agility matter most, the Mantis equips you to lift and place containers wherever the mission requires - without waiting for heavy gear.

No Power, No Heavy Handling Equipment Needed

From main operating bases to austere forward positions, it's not practical to support every location with cranes, RTCH, PLS or contractors.

The Bison Mantis fills this gap, giving you the ability to lift and move ISO containers in more places, with no heavy equipment or contractor support.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the lift capacity of the Bison Mantis?

The Bison Mantis has a lift capacity of up to 20,000 kg (44,000 lb). It is designed to safely lift and transfer loaded ISO shipping containers in remote, off-grid, and expeditionary environments without requiring cranes, forklifts, or external power.

  • How does the Bison Mantis work?

The Bison Mantis attaches directly to the ISO container corner castings and uses a manual lifting mechanism to raise the container. Its modular design allows it to be transported, assembled, and deployed in locations where traditional container handling equipment cannot operate.

  • What types of containers can the Bison Mantis lift?

The Bison Mantis is designed to lift standard ISO shipping containers, including 10ft, 20ft, and 40ft containers, as well as military container systems such as Tricons, Bicons, and Quadcons. It can also lift a wide range of modified shipping containers and containerized equipment, provided they have accessible ISO corner castings and are within the system's rated lifting capacity.

  • How many people are required to operate the Bison Mantis?

The Bison Mantis is designed to be operated by a small team, typically between two and four people, depending on the application and operational requirements. This enables organizations to handle containers without relying on large lifting crews or specialist equipment operators.

  • Is the Bison Mantis suitable for military and humanitarian operations?

Yes. The Bison Mantis is designed for defence logistics, expeditionary operations, humanitarian aid, disaster response, mining, and remote infrastructure projects. Because it requires no external power source, it is well suited to austere environments where heavy lifting equipment is unavailable.

  • What applications is the Bison Mantis best suited to?

The Bison Mantis is designed for organizations that need to lift and transfer shipping containers in locations where cranes, forklifts, and other heavy handling equipment are unavailable or impractical. It is commonly used in military logistics, disaster response, humanitarian aid, mining, construction, and remote industrial operations.
