Which Model Is Right For You?
Refinery Contractor Upgrades To C-Lift A Series
Hydroprocessing Associates (HPA) is a "one-stop-shop" for safe and efficient reactor turn arounds, providing a full range of catalyst handling, reactor, mechanical and cleaning services to the oil and petrochemical industry. Coordinating cranes and contractors to unload this equipment was costly and time-consuming within tight shutdown windows. By upgrading to Bison C-Lift A Series, their team can now handle container movements themselves - using a small crew to quickly unload and position equipment, reducing delays and enabling faster, more flexible operations.

The Problem With Deploying Containers
The equipment most commonly used for container handling is built for fixed infrastructure. Getting it to a remote or temporary site adds significant cost and logistics, often disproportionate to the lift itself. In many locations, the most suitable equipment simply isn't available.
The alternatives each come with constraints. Tilt trays can't handle 40-foot containers and aren't suitable for sensitive payloads. HIABs are versatile but restricted to shorter, lighter loads. Side loaders are uncommon in many countries and outside major cities. Telehandlers are limited to lighter containers. And regardless of which option you choose, you're coordinating between contractors, managing competing schedules, and navigating site access and H&S requirements before a single lift takes place.

The Bison Workflow
Bison container lifting jacks are portable and self-contained. The equipment attaches to the container's corner castings, lifts it clear of the truck chassis, and sets it down where you need it, with no fixed infrastructure and no external contractors.
For containers that remain in a location for a period of time, the C-Lifts detach and move on with your team. For containers that travel frequently between sites, certain Bison models can stay attached, removing the need for specialist equipment at every new location. For sensitive payloads that cannot be tilted during placement, Bison ensures careful, level lifting.

The Outcome: Control In The Field
Deploying containers in the field with Bison moves control away from contractors and back to your operation.
For teams lifting containers regularly, avoided crane hire costs create a clear and defensible business case. Coordination overhead is removed, scheduling risk disappears, and when the truck arrives, everything flows. For operations in remote locations, or in places where specialist equipment is scarce or expensive to mobilize, Bison provides a solution that goes wherever the work is.
